A Light aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing on the main road between Windhoek and Gobabis on Thursday night, after bad weather conditions combined with engine trouble.
The crew of the Beech 1900 planned a days flying without taking sufficient fuel. On a 40 minute flight from Walvis to Eros, the aircraft ran out of fuel. The Namibian CAA together with Bay Air management have tried to cover the whole scenario. The Captain is the wife of the Chief Pilot (Serious conflict of interest)
The crew should be seriously repremanded or have their licences taken away for lying and the deciet involved in the cover up. The truth will eventually come out. Concerned aviator.
The aircraft was in the hold for 12 minutes not an hour. No engine trouble ! insufficient fuel on board.
Why did the crew fill the aircraft with 200 litres aside after the emergency landing? Guess the reporters are not up to speed and poor at establsihing the real facts?
Why is the Namibian CAA covering this up?
No report on the Wing damage and the burst tire.
