A long weekend begins tomorrow. First, the birthday of the Muslim prophet Mohamed (pbh) who was born in 570 and died some 61 years later. And on the following day, the sad day when Christians believe Jesus was crucified, as part of a commemoration marking the most important religious feast in the Christian liturgical year - the resurrection of Christ.

Hello Brother Umaru and fellow readers; I agree with you, Sierra Leoneans should do all they can to keep the religious tolerance that exists in the country. However I am bemused that as a Muslim yourself, you do not know that unlike Christianity there are no central authorities like the pop or papal that represent the Muslim Uma. Contrary to your assertion that there were no outcry or criticism from Muslims for the adoption of the bishop ; Imams, Muslim politicians in Iraq and other part of the world did criticized the adoption of the Bishop in strong words. (http://iraqupdate.wordpress.com/2008/03/14/assassination-of-chaldean-archb ishop-denounced-by-jordan/, http://news.monstersandcritics.com/middleeast/news/article_1395334.php/Iraq i_leaders_condemn_death_of_archbishop_killing_remains_unclear). Secondly, as one of the respected reporters in Sierra Leone I will expect that you understand issues more deeply than the eyes can see. The Palestine issue is not an Islamic issue, it is national and political. You should know the deprivation, humiliation and loss of life the Palestinians experience everyday and the media bias against them. During the war in Sierra Leone, we saw the same jubilation in Kenema, Bo and elsewhere for a beheaded rebel, no need to remind you that the suffering the Palastinians are undergoing far surpasses anything Sierra Leoneans experienced. Finally, the frustration the Palastinian Arabs (Muslims and Christian) go through because of bias reporting from main Western Media is unimaginable. I will expect a Muslim reporter like you to at least look beyond BBC and other remote controlled New Houses. Brother check this out and tell me you do not understand why Palastinians continue to jubilate whenever a Jew or Israel is killed (http://www.ifamericansknew.org/media/ ) (http://www.doublestandards.org/biaspale.html) (http://www.themodernreligion.com/assault/media-bias.html )
Thanks Your brother; Sheikh Tunis
