South African President Thabo Mbeki will travel to Zimbabwe on Friday to meet President Robert Mugabe and political leaders, in his role as mediator for the Southern African Development Community, to discuss the current situation in the country.
Mbeki can talk all he wants but unless he has a degree in psychiatry he's not really going to get anywhere is he... You cannot convince scared insane men not to adopt their natural instict of violence (the FLight or Fight instinct)... So lets see Mugabe knows he's wanted for criminal acts against humanity along with his merry men what are they going to do run away which is what we were all hoping they would like Grace has or fight which is what they are doing....Perhaps the understanding of the fear is the first step and then removing it is the next.....Sally's family need to send in a delegate to convince him (Mr Mugabe) that this is what his late wife would have wanted the choice of this person must be made well and must be highly respected by Mr Mugabe bring him to Ghana and there he can get the psychiatric help he needs....The continual fear he feels is only culminating by producing a physical reaction of panic and he will never be able to think straight.....alternatively we could get one of Neyere's elders to go.....
What a waste of SA taxpayer's money. Mbeki has been toing and froing and what has he achieved in the given time? The only stance is for African Countries to isolate Zim violence is unacceptable no matter who the perpetrator is. This pussy footing around a corrupt violent regime where the rule of law means naught should come to a halt
How many times must Mbeki negotiate between ZANU-PF and the Opposition parties of Zimbabwe, specifically MDC? Can`t the African leaders (SADC and AU)see that it is above the level of Mr.Mbeki that`s why nothing happened thus far.My question is , is there a goverment in Zimbabwe or not? Because the incumbent President and party was defeated in the elections and UN Interim goverment must take over until the matter is resolved. This is a test to African leaders to see whether they understand a democratic system and so far failed. SADC and AU must protect the life of Mr. Tsivangirai at all cost as from now on and if not than they are double mouthed and have pleasure in the deaths of all innocent people in Zimbabwe.Mr. Mbeki can not make it alone and this crisis needs higher level of negotiations and that`s AU or if they are incapable than UN. Because time has run out and lives are now at stake.Human life has a very high level irrespective of his social level and if one single person dies as result of this violence than there is a crisis Mr. Mbeki please. If the inflation rate has sky rocketed and is the highest in the world than there is a crisis how will the future generations live? The land issue should never be drawn in here because there was enough time do resolve and could have been laid before SADC we always tend to blame someone always. Why can`t African states not create its own sustainable economy after so many years? Why is it that we struggle with simple issues like electricity while we have so many mineral resources? It is time for Mr.Mugabe to hand over the mandle to young upcoming President Tsivangirai and bless him. When your season is over leave the office in peace and don`t figfht. The issue of succession must be deliberated at SADC and AU summits because absence of it is the root of all evil.Mr. Franktalk of Namibia
The first election results must be released whatever the condition they may look so that the world may see and know the true. Truth does not need to be protected or covered it speaks for its self. If there was a fault let us see what faults were detected by the commission. Why should they refuse to publicize to the public the owners of the votes? Is this free, fair and transparent elections or is it an autocratic rule impose upon the people. Why should people live in fear if elections are free and fair? Some African states has missed the boat and need to go back to school of Politics and carefully study the priciple of democracy. Some African leaders are abusing the illiteracy level of the african people and never even thaught them democratic principles because they know that the people will start to question their motives ones they understand democracy. The same strategy which the colonialst were using by keeping education away from people and today they still blame the western nations while doing injustice to their own people. We the young generations are tired of some African leaders who are misusing the office powers and think it is time that the young African men and women start something new with clean and clear motives.Africa needs God intervention like never before and rise up to a Godly standard of living where man are not selfish but love is neighbour as himself. Time to change African young people lets start to build bridges and through out African states and save our continenet. I love my continent and its people. Mr.Franktalk of Namibia.
Lets imagine we are Mr Mbeki....We know we are dealing with a mad man.....What are your options? If you are the only one that mad person will talk to or trust from the outside world how can you convince him he's mad.......You can not shout at him and say hes mad (because mad people do not know they are mad) you can of course ignore them and hope sanity will come back or you can use force and capture them and medicate them but this is a very grey area......How parniod is Mugabe now his people have voted against him......His wife and family have left him........and he is feeding off the praises of those who admired him to prop up his self esteem....Death is close and he is a Catholic so he's worried about Hell too......This realy a very delicate situation........It will be shown in the future I hope that Mr Mbeki is infact a hero who has had to deal with his own self doubt on this situation and pressure form his own people .......Here's praying
