Everyone should just stop whining and start saving. I switch my geyser on for three hours in the evening and the family bathes/showers after one and half hours as the water is already hot and then the remaining one and half hours is used to reheat the water and it is then hot enough for bathing in the morning. This load shed of mine has reduced my electricity consumption by 35% ( I live in Edenvale and fall under Ehurkuleni) so if each household adopted this simple measure which takes no effort (just a note on the fridge which serves as a reminder) think of what we could save. And the savings are financial too as you reduce your own bill and savings are global as you reduce your individual carbon print on the planet. Come on people - don't be lazy - the effort is so minor!
