WHEN Bishop Mike Okonkwo coughs, the nation is bound to listen; not necessarily because of his immense stature, but because of the high profile position he occupies in Christendom.

Bishop Okonkwo’s coughs should be reserved for his befuddled and undiscerning followers. Should we laugh at or be sorry for our clergymen? They keep inventing catch-words to frighten and enslave mentally weak individuals. It was the Devil yesterday and now it is the Occult. The Christian Bible tells us that God created heaven and earth and everything therein, including the Christian Devil and occultism. The Book of Job tells us that the Devil or Satan is a son of God, a Benai Elohim. What then is this hocus-pocus about fighting the Devil and the occult?
The smooth-talking cleric tells us that “The Niger Delta issue could be rooted in a high level occultism. All these guys who are involved in these things have nothing to do with God. They are worshipping idols and making sacrifices. Of course, whoever you sacrifice to, you sell your soul to. That’s the way I see it. It’s demonic, occultic!”
Yes, these “demonic and occultic” things may have nothing to do with the Christian God, which is just a God among many Gods as the Christian Bible amply shows to those who bother to read that book with open eyes. The Bible, in Genesis 1:26, tells us that the Christian Jehovah is the leader of a multitude of fashioning Gods: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness …” The pronoun “us” and the adjective “our” refer to a plurality of Gods, the colleagues of the bossy Jehovah. “Thou shalt not revile the gods," says the god of Moses (Exodus 22:28), for it is God who “hath divided (them) unto all nations” (Deut. 4:19); and those who speak evil of “Dignities” (gods) are called “filthy dreamers” by Jude (1:8). So, why all the fuss by this clergyman about praying to some God he knows nothing about? There are many Gods and the Gods to whom the Niger Delta activists offer sacrifice are not inferior to the Christian God. Why revile those Gods in utter defiance of the Christian Jehovah’s injunction not to revile the Gods of other people? Read the Bible dear Bishop and stop making a fool of yourself. Christians should read their Bibles and not allow ignorant, scheming clerics to do it for them.
On the failure of the Nigerian Church, the Bishop stutters and beats about the bush. Of course the Christian Church has failed in its responsibilities to the society in general and the family unit in particular. The Christian concept of marriage is rooted in false, unnatural foundations. The tree being known by its fruit, the very high rate of decomposition of Christian marriages tells a sad story on the bankrupt nature of the Christian knowledge of the human being. Sexual repression, based on false religious dogma, is at the root of the marriage instability problem. Sex is blissful and that is why we hanker after it. Unbridled sex is risky because of disease and unwanted pregnancy. But we overgrow sexual urge by glutting it. When the desire for constant change of partner has cooled and we can do with one man or woman – we can now love someone. Sex transcendence has now happened and hankering after sex has become history. This is sexual maturity. When sexual maturity happens, one partner will do and sex can be devoted solely to procreation. Educate the child on the dangers of unbridled sexuality, but leave him/her alone to glut sexual bliss. Laws and decrees on sexual behavior are mental constructs that fizzle out in the face of the omnipotent sex urge. Religion has no place in the process of sex transcendence. Prayer and like mummery are useless.
Sexual immaturity before marriage leads inevitably to marital instability. Christianity has systematically championed sexual repression in the society. According to Christian clerics, we have to handle the dilemma of sex by praying, abstinence, running into a monastery or some other foolishness. But your sex is the same as your life, and you want to run away from your sex and hang out with inefficacious mind-warping ideas. But these business-minded clerics know what they are doing. They encourage man to fight against himself by condemning his body and all that is natural in him. The undiscerning Christians are thus mentally unsettled and emotionally/materially enslaved to their clerics. These men-of-God condemn this beautiful world and spur us towards a lotus-eating heaven-world to which they are in no hurry to go. They go to the best hospitals for medical treatment, but sell expensive mummeries called prayers to their sick followers whose sure death is posted to the “will-of-God” account.
Experience sex, and there will be no trouble. Repress sex, and the God, whose temple your body is, will surely punish you. Sex repression is at the root of the foolishness going on in our world today – hypocrisy, gay lifestyle, marriage instability, self-hatred and hatred of others, violence, etc. If you fail to live-out the phases of sex life at the appropriate times, particularly the torrid hetero-sex-sampling phase, you will surely catch-up on lost ground later in life. This is Divine Natural Law. The Sugar Daddies and Sugar Mommies are there to remind us that God or Sex cannot be mocked.
