Zimbabwe: Dar Rejects Mugabe Win - The Citizen

Tanzania does not recognise Mr Robert Mugabe as the legally elected President of Zimbabwe because last Friday's presidential run-off, which was boycotted by the opposition, was "highly flawed", Foreign Affairs minister Bernard Membe said yesterday.

JACK, THIS IS THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY! TANZANIA SHOULD DEVOTE VALUABLE TIME TO BRING THEIR GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE TO AFRAKAN CONSCIOUSNESS. UNTIL THEN, WHO GIVES A DAMN WHAT TANZANIA THINKS, MUCH MORE WHETHER OR NOT THEY RECOGNIZE THE ONLY PRESIDENT (MUGABE)OF CONSCIENCE IN THE WHOLE OF AFRAKA!

BRING IT UP, brother. Literally thousands of SHONAs were murdered and butchered in Bulawayo and the surrounding areas. This went on for over three years and was brought to an end by the 5th brigade. ZAPU was encouraged by elements in the Zambian government who were planning to break up Zimbabwe OR JUST NEUTER IT. They wanted to effectively make the west of the country ungovernable by arming the bands of SAVIMBIs. The Zimbabwe gvt put a STOP to it with, unavoidably, some COLLATERAL damage. Itlooks like those same elements are at it again. The difference being that Botswana have joined them. The unfortunate illness of His excellency the president of the Republic of Zambia, Mr Mwanawasa, has messed up the planned military panza into Great Zimbabwe by the armies of Zambia and Botswana, one coming from the west and the other attacking across the Zambezi, both having the backup of Rhodie mercenaries and the military hardware of you know who. A Fifth Column will harry the Zimbabwe army inside the country. Now despite the fact that the conditions have changed, Khama, the half-Irish, has decided to continue with plan A. WATCH THIS SPACE.

akapfunde1 - have you discontinued your medication for some reason?

How do you manage to have such a selective mind? For almost three years prior to the sending of the fifth brigade to western Zimbabwe and the unfortunate collateral damage incurred, how many SHONA people had been murdered in the region? Remember GISELLA!! Thousands were slaughtered in and around Intumbane in Bulawayo. What are you going to tell these people? If do not let bygones-be-bygones and keep on hackeying to the past, it is SHONAs who have an even bigger axe to grind. Bulawayo is literaaly translated as A PLACE OF KILLING. As far a we know ONLY SHONAs were murdered there. Lets start afresh and try not to repeat the past. The Irish have done that quite successfully after over 700 years of attempting to go free of the English. The Kenyans do not go on and on about the massacres of their people by the English colonials during MAU MAU. They realise that a new page has to be started no matter how painful, and what went on in western Zimbabwe was and is still painful for both SHONA dead and the dead of the other side. Talking of vengeance opens cans of worms. The choice is yours, my friend. We can only react because we too have suffered.

TANZANIA'S RECORD IS IMPECCABLE Tanzania has enjoyed political stability and social harmony ever since independence, one of the few countries in Africa to acheive this. Even more commendable, there is no fighting over scarce resources, or tribal bickering, despite the fact that most Tanzanians have very low incomes. AFRICA SHOULD "GIVE A DAMN" WHAT TANZANIA THINKS ! She is an example to us all. To her credit, she was instrumental in the removal of Idi Amin, even though the military action posed a heavy financial burden. Tanzania is now saying that the Zimbabwean people deserve better than this; Mugabe must go !

Western countries want Mugabe ousted from power for two reasons. First, Mugabe sent his military to DR Congo in the 1990's to halt the invasion and occupation of DR Congo by the armies of Rwanda, Burundi, and Uganda. The invasion was financially and militarily sponsored by the United States and England with the aim of effecting a regime change in DR Congo so that western countries would exploit (loot) the natural resources of DR Congo at will. Up until the time of invasion, Mugabe's Zimbabwe had been buying jet fighters for its airforce from England, with an agreement that the sellers of those jet fighters would continually supply the jets' spare parts to Zimbabwe if Zimbabwe needed spare parts. Surprisingly, after Zimbabwe's military intervention to DR Congo, England passed a bill that declared illegal any sale of military equipment, including jet fighters' spare parts, to Zimbabwe. In response, Zimbabwe turned to China, from whence it began to buy military equipment.

Second, the redistribution of the land, which had been illegally acquired and owned by white farmers for years, to Black Zimbabweans is, in the western view, a crime that Mugabe should not have made and for which he cannot be forgiven. Hence the USA and UK's endevour to mobilize the entire world, including the UN, the European Union, the African Union, and individiual governments against Mugabe. However, African leaders know the true motives behind this worldwide mobilization by the USA and UK. Accordingly, the African Union's resolution on Zimbabwe is far from being an endorsement of the joint stand of the USA, UK, and their Western allies on Mugabe's Zimbabwe. And as long as Mugabe has the trust and support of the African governments and of the people represented by these governments, Mugabe's Zimbabwe will not hesitate to tell the Western world "to hang and hang a thousand times".

Mugabe maybe modern day Idi Amin of Southern Africa. Mugabe has just said God had chosen him to rule Zimbabwe and Idi Amin at one time towards the end of ignominious rule boasted that he feared only God. And guess what ? The Great President Julius Nyerere of Tanzania showed him the door, even though he had just coronated himself Life President of Uganda. The similarities are so surreal.

IDI AMIN!!!! What wrong with Dada? Was he elected by the Ugandans? NO NO NO!!! Amin was hand picked by the British to replace Milton Obote who had an ongoing quarrel with the UK over Asians etc in a Mugabe like fight ... The English knew Amin as a docile character when he was in the East African Asrikari. Who suffered the consequences of their choice????

Its funny how fast people are to critise anyone that says the election is unfair. I dont see anyone critising Mandela though? Or Desmond Tutu? Or are they rhodesian sell outs too!?

Unfortunately thats the only latin it knows which is why it is non-sequitur, I've had the same reply myself.

I think he's anglicising the legal maxim to, "it speaks for itself". Inferring that Mandela and Tutu are in actuality rhodesian sell-outs.

In the human family there are three psychological types of personalities and most Military generals know of them It is vital to them prior to the physical or financial occupation of a Country or Territory. These three Types are (1) The warrior class ---(NOTE Some military personnel could be included)They by nature will defend their family, friends, and Country to the death conclusion not very easily defeated uncontrollable (2) The nurturing class ---They will bend and go to great lengths to hold their family and country together ---Conclusion-------(compromisers) not trustworthy (c) The opportunist class-----They are driven only by self interest ,(Controllable) makes excellent surrogates They most often have no scruples and will betray friends, family and country for their own personal gains A predatorily Country will always seek out and collaborate with the their targeted country’s opportunistic class, whom they usually use to destabilize the target Country or state. prior to its financial or physical attack on that country. The Opportunistic class will usually serve their Imperial master interest and themselves. They have no interest in serving the greater good of the state or Country and the citizens in it Always be cognizant to the fact that a countries and its peoples interest are always diametrically apposite and is always in conflict with outside Imperial Interest The most diminutive (small) of birds will fight for her young ones in her nest against the owl, all is the fear and nothing is the love… Macbeth
