Uganda: Close Allies Now Accuse Museveni of Poor Leadership - The Monitor

The bitter disagreements that are splitting the ruling NRM party continue to come to the fore with two former spy chiefs and erstwhile close allies of President Yoweri Museveni lambasting his leadership for deteriorating to the calibre they fought against in the 1981-86 bush war.

There is a scene in Bad Boys movie where Will Smith and Martin Lawrence seem to be going at each other when in reality they are staging a set up to rob whoever comes to break their perceived fight. This is the kind of staging that these bush fighters are perpetually staging. There are really no differences between these gangasters. NRM and FDC are really one and the same. The latter is always apoligising for the former even when the latters boss Besigye was locked up on tramped bogus felony charges that he is still fighting in court, in the run up to the last elections: It was one of world's dirtiest election tricks of the year as did the Times in 2006 rightly dub it.

I hate to generalize but these are my ranking of Uganda tribalism by regions from the most tribalistic to least tribalistic tendicies.

1. Western 2. Cetral (Buganda) 3. Northern 4. Eastern

To be fair maybe the next President should be from Eastern.
