A NEW chapter was opened in Zimbabwe's political life yesterday afternoon as the country's three major political parties embraced each other in a show of unity expected to usher in a new dawn for the people of this country.
While unity must be established and upheld, patriotism must prevail. Whatever must be done, must be in line with fulfilling the aims and objectives of the independence brought about by the struggle. The fulfilment of these to the uplifting of Zimbabweans is more important than the political and cultural politeness that we are under constant pressure to observe. The child of a frog is a frog, remember this with regards to our fellow world citizens in particular those from Europe and America. We join the chorus urging this to be a purely Zimbabwean process.

This editorial of The Herald, a newspaper funded by maverick Mugabe surely with bloodstained money, talks of the need to "our language must remain one of love and tolerance, not hate."
Does it convey the idea that maverick Mugabe did just that during his 28 years in power?
Why hide the dead corpses underneath the carpet? Paid to lie??
Why not muster courage like those who were killed, maimed or raped in order to defy injustice?
The editorial is a piece of cowardness praising maverick Mugabe, naked, yet telling him how nicely dressed he is!!
Instead, fingers ought to have been pointed at him warning him to lay down steps leading to his abdication of power that he confiscated in the name of God!
True sons and daughters of Zimbabwe will not allow their history to be rewritten by sold out journalists!
