Intense and heavy rainfall in the Liberian capital Monrovia on 20 July caused the worst floods on record in Monrovia and forced nearly 1,000 people out of their houses, Liberian authorities told IRIN.

I would like to express my thank and appreciation to the government of liberia and other organizations for their prompt action by evacuting those who were effected by the flood. I also suggest that measure should be taken to avoid similar occurrances. ---J.Quiah Gbalay--
