Hopes of a reprieve for hundreds of death row inmates in Nigeria were dashed when MPs threw out a bill which would have commuted all death sentences to life imprisonment and down-graded robbery with violence to a non-capital crime.
You did the right thing,It sure is not working to any degree in SA.(Death penalty abolition)Just do not use it for political gain,that would be wrong.
i think that the bill should bbe reconsidered. however i do not agree that armed robbery should be downgraded to a non capital crime. why would you rob with a weapon if you didnt have the intent to kill. i dont support the "eye for an eye" theory, life imprisonment should be considered as an option
