Civil society organisations and refugee leaders say they have been ignored by the government as the complaints they lodged several weeks ago have still not been addressed.
According to the issue relating to the refugee's in South Africa, the government failure to comply with the Geneva Convention however in the 1951 convention and its 1967 protocol are the cornerstone of the international refugee protection rights and it is the core mandate of the UNHCR, in which it is stipulated in the Geneva Convention, which to ensure the basic human right in which refugees will not be returned involuntarily to a country where they face persecutions. However considerable time and resource that local and NGOs and other Civic organization had allocated across the country to help the South Africa government to deal with the recent xenophobia attack which left more than 65 people death and other thousand displaced in urge the country to be decelerated a state of emergency by the “UNHCR” however it has been regarding as one of the most crucial form of racism that has decompose the country since it first democratic election in1994.A situation of insecurity with regard to their stay and continued protection in the host country, related, refugees status and or some related rights should not be withdrawn, the States are responsible for respecting and ensuring the human rights of everyone on their territory and subject to their jurisdiction, therefore relevant to both defining and protection the integration standards for recognized refugees. while the 1951 convention continues to be the most commonly relied upon and most specific international instrument regarding the rights of refugees and more specifically the integration rights of recognized refugees, however the South Africa government should create a gender for improving the protection of many refugees and asylum seekers that living in the country.
