A Green Zone is under construction in Massawa city at a cost of over 3 million Nakfa through the provision of machineries by Gedem, Horn and Mussa Ali construction companies, as well as the Eritrean Naval Force. The city administration, the public and service-rendering institutions are also taking active participation in the task.
