South Africa is caught between a rock and a hard place. It must address the growing hunger for land on the part of black people and, at the same time, avoid going the route of Zimbabwe. Land reform in this neighbouring state, meant to address colonial injustice, has ended up undermining the economy.

Land reform worries me,Give some of the land the Defence force has but never uses to people to populate.I dont think they will because the idea is to get the land from a population grouping they are not part of.
To the writer, Moyiga Nduru, my compliments overall for a well thought out and written article. Since accuracy is a paramount duty of a reporter, I would however ask that in the future that ‘real world’ statistics be used; by the third paragraph all truth is called into question. Using Last Septembers’ inflation numbers are bad enough, but using the numbers from the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe without noting that they (and their government) are the only ones on the planet to believe such low numbers shows journalistic negligence at best, and outright propagandizing as a very real possibility. The number is in the millions. You know it, I know it, so Please be Truthful for those that do not, for what ever reason, have continuing and accurate access to know better. Be Blessed.
