Senior UPDF officers could be arrested and tried in the United States for recruiting child soldiers under a new law passed by the Bush administration.

I am so glad we finally have a law against this. However, why are the officers only prosecuted if a child is killed? How easy would it be to cover up a death. This is too big of a loophole. They need to make some minor adjustments. We are headed in the right direction.
The chief inventor and pioneer of the child army concept is none other General Museveni, the current president of Uganda, who started using Child soldiers way back in the 1980's. They were euphemistically called Kadogos (kigodo means small or little in Swahili). And only last month he was lecturing in USA's Leavenworth Military College. What was he lecturing about ? How to be a undemocratic military dictator in a third world country or what ? He is feted at the White House by President Bush whenever he visits the USA ? If this law had any teeth most, including Museveni, if not all UPDF generals or officers deserve to be arrested in the USA. They are military criminals, who not only use and used children as soldiers from Uganda, but are terrorising Africans from Uganda, to Kigali, to Kinshinsa, to Adjumani, and now in Mogadishu. It is military adventurism that has known no equal in recent African history.
