More and more news organizations in the US are covering stories claiming that Obama was actually born in Kenya and not in Hawai. Other legal experts believe that even if Obama was born in the USA, he may still not be eligible for the office of President of the United States because he was not a "natural born US citizen" at birth. They argue that for someone to be considered a "natural born citizen" both of his parents must be US nationals, which is not the case for Obama because his father was from Kenya,which was still a British Colony in 1961. President Elect Obama seems to be aware of these controversies given the fact that a copy of his birth certificate has been posted on his web site at http://fightthesmears.com/articles/5/birthcertificate as a proof that he was indeed born in the USA

I personally believe that the suit will be dismissed by the Supreme Court Justices because of the constitutional chaos, and destabilizing effect such a hearing would create in the US. However the decision of the Kenyan authorities to block members of the Obama family to speak to the media seems to vindicate all those who believe that the President Elect has something to hide regarding this matter.

President-Elect Obama will face a lot of challenges both at home and abroad once he is sworn in and this controversy surrounding his place of birth will be used by his enemies to blackmail him throughout his mandate. In August and September 2006, the now President-Elect Barack Obama traveled to South Africa, Chad, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Chad and Kenya as a congressional delegation. While in Kenya, Obama consistently appeared at the side of fellow Raila Odinga (“your agent for change’), who was running for President.

If he (president elect) had beenl White and there was a question about the possibility of him being born in Germany instead of Hawaii, I believe there would have been a media onslaught against him with the resulting order by the Supreme Court for him to produce all personal records in order to prove his was eligible to hold the office. That would be politically correct. For the courts to require that of a "Black" candidate would be racist and politically incorrect, an thus it was not done. If President-Elect Obama was born in Kenya and finally came to USA, there must be plenty of travelling proofs of that in US Embassy or whoever was handling exits and entries into/out of USA

(a) She must have travelled to Kenya with the Obama's late father holding some passport (b) She must have obtained visa to travel to Kenya if she was holding American passport and US passport department must have issued that passport. That information somewhere in their files at US immigration office or (c) She must have been issed with a Kenyan passport and USA entry visa back into the United States of America and that information must be available somewhere in US embassy in Kenya

(b) Baby Obama, a travelling infant, must have been issued with infant travelling documents to travel with his mother back to USA (Hawaii) where he grew up unless he was kidnapped by some UFO aliens abundant in USA!

You are absolutely correct. The allegation that Obama was borm in Kenya is the product of a racist attempt to disqualify him. If in fact his 18 year old mther would have had to get a pass port or other documents to travel to kenya to have a baby. There is no such evidence. President Elect Bbama has been duly elected by the American people. We now need to pray for him and support the decision that has been made...and move on with life. Congrdulations to Mr. Obama and to the efforts of the Kenyan government to recognize him and his Kenyan heritage. But let the family speak, they are very proud of their family member. Kenya is standing as a strong democracy, don't stumble by censoring the speech of the people.
