Its terribly disappointing that the EU Ambassador Mr. Gilles failed to raise the unrgent issue of human rights with Gambian President. If indeed he did raise the matter in private, he sgould atleast express general support for the rule of law and good governance. The EU envoy failed conventional expectations.

What about the "Human rights" issues in the EU, who will raise that? That time has passed when the West stick their nose in African affairs. You may sit behind your keyboard and wish someone fight your battle for you, but you will as usual be dissapointed and wasting your energy for their is no battle to be fought. The whole world knows where Gambia stands under Jammeh's watch: PROGRESS. Keep on dreaming though.

moloh, i think u have a sick mind. In the west, u and i can voice out our protests against human rights violations without fears of being tracked down and shot, kidnapped or put secretly in jail. U know that and don't be an idiot by pretending not knowing!

Paco, You are the idiot, being so naive thinking everything in the West is milk and honey. Keep on dreaming.

Just a few examples, are all the artrocities committed by the West to the Iraqi people allowed to come out in the open? Does Guantanamo ring any bell? Are you aware of the prophet Muhammed carricature which is accepted by the West as a demonstration of the right to "freedom of expression", while on the other hand a British was jailed for questioning the Jewish holocaust, branding it "antisemitism"? Is this sort hypocrisy what you are talking about? The west preaches and dictates what is convenient to their social set-up and when applicable. If you are ignorant of these facts, keep on snoring, being naive, idiotic and foolish. If your mind is still enslaved, that is your problem! The minds of rest of us are no longer in chains.
