The American Friends Service Committee(AFSC) is a Quaker organization that includes people of many faiths committed to social justice, peace and humanitarian service. It has programs focussing on issues relating to economic and social justice in the United States, Africa and world wide.Its Africa Peacebuilding program in the U.S. is designed to involve citizens in understanding African issues and in the formation of a U.S. policy toward Africa that will benefit African peoples and allow the continent to recover from centuries of exploitation.
