The drawings displayed here were made by the children of the Child Rescue Center in Bo, Sierra Leone, during a medical psychological team's visit organized by the United Methodist Church shortly after peace was declared in January 2002. The ten-year civil war took their families, homes and security and left them to witness atrocities and suffering beyond imagining. The children participated in an art therapy session designed to give them some tools for dealing with their distress. These drawings are some of the results.
