Olympics: Africans Get The Last Word Gezahagne Abera of Ethiopia crosses the finish line to claim gold in the final event of the Olympics - the men's marathon. Africans again swept the field - Eric Wainaina of Kenya took silver and Tesfaye Tola, also of Ethiopia, won the bronze.
