At times when certain despicable things happen, and one's helpless to act or react; you simply shake your head in disbelief. Let's say you just said goodbye to a friend. And minutes later, you receive a phone call announcing his death through an accident. If the deceased was a friend indeed, the lump of "fufu" you were eating will remain unswallowed halfway into your throat.
Put death aside and let's reflect on what happened last week somewhere near Buea. At night, an unmarried couple was observed in "an intimate situation" in a church. You already know the answer so don't ask what they were doing there. A friend watching the scene thundered: "This is sacrilegious !" Call him "Mustapha" or any other nickname, this friend had been making futile attempts to sensitize the youths. Shocked beyond qualifiers and before his 'BP' could rise, he simply swallowed his wrath; and uttered: "This Earth my brother".
