The continent of Africa has for decades been the center of controversy.
Many expatriates real and sham have written about it.
To date we still have these con men and women in, alas, almost every capital in western countries!
Many thugs under whatever good name came to discovery Africa.
There came explorers, missionaries, merchants and all sorts of thugs to ruin Africa.
Others are still thronging even presently!
Blindly and shamefully we're still entertaining them! Ever since Africa has become a hub of speculations and lies; and a no man's land as far as who is who in what is concerned!
It reached the stage these neurotic morons said Africa was a dark continent as if the sun has never shone on her!
They still call Africa underdeveloped-cum-under-civilized as if they are themselves civilized!
Post-colonial regime was thought would redress and cleanse Africa of the mess all those thugs above caused.
But nay! The post-colonial African rulers were another heck save that there were some exception in Nyerere, Nkrumah, Lumumba, Modibo Keita, Sir Margai, Gamel Abdul Nasser, Silvanus Olimpio, Sir Tafawa Balewa, Ahmed Ahijo and a few others who did not live to show their clouts.

Africa saw skew-whiff people like Yoweri Museveni, Meles Zenawi, Bakili Muluzi, Mwai Kibaki, and others usher in another phase of emancipating Africa after they wrestled power from tyrants.

We've produced thieves! And I think that's why Africa was overtaken by Asia that was poorer than her at a certain time.
So looking at this state of affairs even after the introduction of multiparty politics, Africa is doomed.
Most of what you said is correct. It is however wrong to blame the "Whites" for our faults. Our leaders(vide Nigeria) are thieves as you mentioned.
I cannot entertain the idea that Africa is doomed, but at the same time I don't understand the kind of theives that steal from their own, that impoverish their own countrymen, that selfishly accumulate money and possessions while those around them suffer and struggle. Where did this come from - was it from the white men, the colonizers? Perhaps it was, in the sense that possessions, money and power became revered over the human attributes of love, peace and mercy. These turned out to be mere words with no substance as far as religion is concerned. One wonders how... [Read Full Text]
