Obed Ruvogera one of Cine Elmay's top cyclists will miss the 13th edition of Ascension Des Mille Collines competition scheduled for this Sunday.

Ruvogera, 25 was involved in an accident and sustained arm injuries while training in Byumba of the Northern Province early in the week.

Club Cine Elmay is the defending champions of Ascension de Mille Colline Tour. The Nyamirambo based club has dominated the tour in the last three years since Huye Club winning it in 2004.

The club is expected to enter a strong 10-man team for Sunday's event, which has attracted competitors from seven clubs including, Huye, Rwamagana, Rubavu, Kayonza, Unitave and Rapid Cycling club who are making their debut.

"We are well prepared and optimistic to win this title too," Sebuchanda added.

Among the former champions expected to contest in the event are Abraham Ruhumuriza, Adrian Niyonshuti, Uwase Nyandwi and Nathan Byukusenge.
