Angola: Government Formalises Syllabuses Organisation Regulations

Angolan government formalised, through the State's Gazette, regulations on organisation of syllabuses, designing of programmes, students evaluation and certification in basic professional training system.

The measure is printed in the Series I, 94 of the State Gazette, that reached Angop Saturday.

The diploma aims at regulating syllabuses organisation, creation of courses, work and evaluation of basic professional training, as well equivalence in the formal education system.

The Ministry of Education executive decree states that basic training courses with equivalence in the formal education system aims mainly at preparing the youths and adults to join the labour market.

The document explains that only students who have completed 6th grade or equivalent shall have access to basic professional training programmes.

The training will last three years corresponding to 7th, 8th and 9ª grades of the first cycle of the secondary education.

To enrol for the course, students are required to pass every subject of the syllabus plan and write a professional technical test (PAT).
