Luanda catholic archbishop, Dom Damião Franklim, said Friday in southern Huíla province that the upcoming legislative elections constitute a sovereign occasion for Angolans to prove to the international community that they "love one another" and that they want to live in peace and harmony.

Speaking at a church service bishop said there is need for Angolans to avoid wrong attitudes and observe tolerance.

Dom Damião Franklim said that it is the only way to consolidate democracy in the country and enables Angolans to live well and with dignity.

Luanda archbishop is in Huíla province for a spiritual retreat, since June 30, together with other 25 bishops from Angola and São Tome and Principe Episcopal Conference.
