Angola: Zaire - CNE Trains Members for Polling Stations

At least forty members for polling stations in the northern Zaire province benefit since last Monday of a training on electoral issues in the framework of the legislative elections set for next September 05.
The five-day course happens in the premises of the National Electoral Commission (CNE) and is presided over by national trainers of this organ.
The seminar aims at upgrading monitors for polling stations, whose responsibility will also be to train other members in their respective areas of origin.
Themes linked to legislative elections, the exercising of voting right, personality, vote, electoral circuit, plurinominal and uninominal lists will be lectured in this event.
The role of the voters, competences of CNE and other members of the polling stations in the electoral process, lists delegates, rights and duties and elections verification and observation are among others being discussed.
The trainers are from the districts of Mbanza Kongo, Kuimba, Nóqui, Tomboco, Soyo and Nzeto.
According to data supplied by the local Commission for the Electoral Process (CPE), point out the necessity of creating 5,071 voting tables in the region to be monitored by 2,744 members.

This is the first training of its kind which occurs in Zaire province.
