The World Bank (WB) on Tuesday praised the Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, for his engagement in the country's stability and good macroeconomics governance, as well as maintenance of peace and security.

"We are here to congratulate the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, for his contribution to stability and good macroeconomics governance", said the director of management with the World Bank, Ngozi Okonjo, after an audience granted by the Angolan Premier, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.

In her opinion, WB is satisfied with the steps given by the Angolan Government in the stability achieved in only five years of peace.

According to Ngozi Okonjo, Angolan economy has been growing up in a fast pace, having this year developed at 25 per cent level and recording an surplus budget of about 10 per cent.
