Angola's Prime Minister, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, has already arrived in Lisbon, Portugal, to represent president José Eduardo dos Santos, at the Seventh Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Portuguese-speaking Countries Community (CPLP), set for July 24-25, Angop has learnt.

The Angolan official was welcomed at the local airport by Portugal's Minister of Internal Administration, Rui Ferreira.

The summit may debate the community's contribution to matters of peace and food security, the promotion and dissemination of Portuguese language, the co-operation and consular assistance among the eight member countries.

Meanwhile, the co-operation and consular aid will allow that citizens from a member state that has not consular mission in a foreign country benefit from the aid of any CPLP state.

The participants may also approve a declaration on HIV/AIDS so that the countries adopt a common policy in the fight against the disease, based on a study drafted by CPLP in co-ordination with UNAIDS, that will be submitted at the summit.

At co-operation level, the Health Ministers with the organisation will set a strategic plan that foresees a co-ordination in the coming five years, mainly in training of staff, in areas such as malaria, HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.
