As part of its social corporate responsibility, Fidelity Bank Plc has planned to take its numerous customers on trip to Dubai, the United Arab Emirate starting from August 1, 2008.

This is part of the bank's gesture to customers in marking its 20th year of banking operation in Nigeria, the Abuja Regional Manager of the bank Emeka Obiagwu disclosed this to newsmen yesterday in Abuja.

The bank said every prospective customer, either new or the existing ones that have up to N20, 000 in his or her savings account will qualify to make the trip or win some of its prizes designed for the promo.

Obiagwu said: "Any new or existing customer who opens or tops up their account with N20, 000 each month of the promo, wins an instant prize as well as qualifies for a monthly draw where 20 flight tickets (with visas) will be won by customers around the country.

"We give our people the incentive to build a saving culture - the one reliable way to create wealth for people. We believe the trip to Dubai is the most transformational thing we can offer our customers, far and above the impact of a car. Although we do have cars as bonus star prizes on the promo."

Revealing the promo, the bank said about 100 tickets (with visas) to Dubai will be won by the end of the promo in December. Aside this, the bank said it is offering additional free prizes and over one million free gifts and prizes to customers and these include 750 generating sets and 300 motorcycles and other gifts.

According to the bank, winning is by simple "lucky-pick" and it will follow a system where the draw will be computerized and high speed computers will spin all account numbers until a lucky number is picked randomly.

The draw will take place in five administrative regions and 10 cities around the country to ensure everyone gets a direct feel of the event, the banks said.
