URBAN groover Enerst Manandi, known in music circles as Nesto, makes his acting debut in a short comedy to be screened during the Zimbabwe International Film Festival next month.

In the film titled Ninja Bete, Nesto battles a colossal cockroach that has been troubling the whole community.

Speaking about his role in the film, which is part animation and part real life, Nesto said both the cockroach and him are thick-headed.

"So there is a big feud between the cockroach and me," said Nesto.

This being his first time to feature in films, and more so in a movie that will be screened during ZIFF, Nesto said it would mould his career because acting and music are both arts.

Nesto, whose video tilted My Chocolate is doing well, is now working on a second album with well-established musicians such as Shaka Zulu, Josh Meck, Andy Brown and Mono Mkundu.
