Luanda governor Francisca do Espírito Santo received Wednesday here in audience a group of women representatives of Luanda island, with view to create a partnerships for the improvement of living and leisure conditions of the local residents.

During the meeting, the women briefed the governor on the need to build a I cycle school of secondary education, the increase of classrooms at the primary schools and the rehabilitation of polyvalent field of Luanda island.

The need to increase the number of clinic specialists for island-based health centre, the creation of a professional training centre, the Programme of Community Education (PEC) and the recovery of Luanda island's forest, were, among other issues, presented during the meeting.

"The meeting served to hear about the concerns presented by women and setting up a link between the provincial government and that community", noted the governor.

According to the governor, the provincial government should work hard in order to tackle the pressing issues, like the reform pension issue for fisherwomen, similar to what is happening to musicians.
