Nigeria/South Africa: Super Eagles to Get Massive Fan Support

5 September 2008

Hundreds of Nigerians resident in South Africa will be at Port Elizabeth on Saturday to cheer the Super Eagles to victory.

Spokesman/media coordinator of the team Idah Peterside told KickOffNigeria.com that there were a handful of Nigerians who watched their training session who have talked about plans to watch the Eagles play on Saturday.

"Our training ground was packed on Thursday morning when we trained and they say there will be more coming in on Saturday for the match," Peterside told KickOffNigeria.com.

"People will be coming in from Johannesburg, Cape Town and they are hiring buses to take as many as possible so it is going to be massive.

"We really expect a full house of Nigerians and the players have said they will do their best not to disappoint their teeming fans on Saturday."
