THE Ogun State House of Assembly has lifted the suspension clamped on the two state-owned broadcast stations, Gateway Television and Gateway Radio for the coverage of its proceedings.
The resolution was passed yesterday at the sitting of the House following a meeting of members of the House with the management of the stations.
Deputy Speaker of the House, Mr. Remi Hassan, who presided over the meeting which had the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Kayode Samuel, in attendance, said there was the need to forget the past in order to move the state forward.
He said what was needed now was the support of all and sundry most especially the lawmakers to transform the state to an economically-viable one which could only take place in a peaceful atmosphere.
Hassan said the meeting was called to chart a new course for progress, stressing that all hands must be on deck to make the state a force to be reckoned with.
