Angola: Development of Arts Requires Training of Cultural Agents

15 October 2008

Luanda — The National Plastic Arts School (ENAP) director, Lukulo Zola, stated that the desired major promotion of Angolan plastic arts depends on training of cultural agents.

In an interview to ANGOP, in Luanda, Lukulo Zola informed that if it is introduced soon in the country a specialisation in artistic promotion, especially for students who are finalists of the plastic arts high school, this subject will have another impact.

For Lukulo Zola there is a need to organise more exhibitions, national artists should participate more in international meetings and vice-versa, holding of debates and other events with regularity.

For future success of the school, some arts lecturers are doing their higher education in Brazil.
