Ideas on How to Get Quality Healthcare to Africa's Rural Areas

The videos below from the last GE Developing Health Summit showcase 3 doctors with projects focused on bringing healthcare to underserved patients in urban and rural communities. Dr. Sanjeev Arora's Project Echo passes on specialized knowledge to healthcare workers who can then treat complex diseases in rural and underserved populations. The Lancet Commission's Dr John Meara works to give people access to safe surgeries and Dr. Rachel Moresky explains how decentralizing emergency care in developing countries can bring such care closer to the rural community. More about GE in Africa in this BRIEFING.

Mgabathi Hospital in Kenya is one of the 98 hospitals in Kenya that will benefit from the program being led by the Ministry of Health and GE to modernize core healthcare services at key government facilities across the country.
