The University of Yaounde II, is carrying out several construction projects for the new school year.

Created some 12years ago, the University of Yaounde II-Soa has over 20,000 students. To meet up with the increasing number of students, rehabilitation and construction work is being effected on its buildings and structures. First year students, for example, constitute the largest numbers each academic year with more than one thousand registered in each department. According to the DIPD, Mr. Paul Marcel Mayagi, this situation has always prevailed in the University.
