The forum will follow the 2014 Smithsonian Folklife Festival which will showcase Kenya’s rich and vibrant cultural heritage from June 25-July 6, 2014. The Doing Business in Kenya Forum will focus on government-recognized areas for investment and will include workshops, plenaries, and numerous networking opportunities with the government and business delegation from Kenya.

Led by Ambassador Amina Mohamed, Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, the Kenyan delegation will include Hon. Davis Chirchir, Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum; Hon. Felix Koskei, Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture; Hon. Eng. Michael S. This will be a unique opportunity for the U.S. and Kenyan private sectors to discuss and engage in mutually beneficial partnerships that are aligned with the Kenyan government’s economic and social transformation blueprint, the Vision 2030.

The Kenyan Embassy will also hold several business-to-government, business-to-business and Diaspora-themed meetings, as well as other programs on July 8th.
